Georgina contacted Yes I Du with ideas of the wedding theme and decoration. As the time passed, her ideas were carefully elaborated with her wedding planner, Martina. The wedding theme would be The Great Gatsby, movie adaptation of a F. Scott Fitzgerald`s novel! As a perfect location, the couple chose Grand Villa Argentina with a stunning sea view and gorgeous garden to follow.

A wedding to be lavish, luxurious, with pearls and feathers, golden and black details, and a certain reminescence to the roaring twenties were the main highlights. The ceremony as well as the reception was held at Grand Villa Argentina outdoor venues – Big Garden and Beach Terrace. The colours that dominated were beige, black, burgundy violet and golden since Georgina chose champagne satin wedding dress while the bridesmaids had golden and burgundy coloured dresses. Gold Chiavari chairs waited for their guests while the decoration followed in violet, beige and purple variations with roses, orchids and hydrangeas. Romantic touch were the pale rose petals spread at the big garden for the ceremony while the white drape tucked with flower bouquets encompassed the entire scene.
While the bride made her final preparations at the hotel, the groom, his best man and father made a cruise with the speedboat. They made a toast and sailed to relax before the ceremony. Having a natural garden environment, all the family and friends there, Georgina and Joshua gently walked into their story and had a beautiful ceremony. Afterwards, gathered in the garden, Georgina´s friend gave an emotional and warm speech to the newlyweds. Moreover, heading down to the Old city harbour, our couple had in mind a small surprise for the attendees: lovely boat cruise. They decided to relax a bit before the dinner and share their impressions. After enjoying the sail, Georgina and Joshua had some privacy time to make photosession inside the Old town.
The reception took place at the terrace decorated luxuriously and in a unique way, with black tablecloths and gleaming golden runners! It was an intimate and cheerful family and friends reunion celebrating a very special day. Details such as black typewriter, handwritten name tags with red stamps and all shades of purple and pink made this wedding quite special and unique. After the meal, the party transferred inside where the bride`s father was having a funny presentation and speeches that cheered everybody in the hall. After some time, everyone got up to dance. A tossing bouquet flew straight in the hands of one of the bridesmaids while the crazy party just hit the vibe. Band players were Maja Grgić and the Jazz trio that held the atmosphere all through the night.
Note from the bride and groom:
Martina and the team were there every step of the way, from venue picking to decoration and music. Every aspect of our wedding down the hotels our guests stayed in and restaurants we went to that week was all arranged or recommended by Martina. I never felt like anything was too much to ask, no question too stupid. As a designer, I had really specific ideas for decoration and flowers, Martina made all of them possible I was overwhelmed on the day with how it all came together. If you’r within two minds of getting married in Croatia or having trouble picking wedding planners just meeting Martina will re assure you that your making the right choice. Even a thunderstorm couldn’t stop our perfect day!
We can`t thank Martina and the team enough.
